Just hours after making this statement in reference to acquiring D-What, [glow=red,2,300]"We hope so. Hes a great player, which makes him hard to get of course. But I'm not sure we can acquire him with the resources that we have. we've considered dangling even Flex for him... but we've only had 1 or 2 talks with nike." [/glow]Jordan owner, Afromaniac087, made a move to with Nike sending Flash, Flex, and Sky Patrol to get D-What, D-Nice, and Ocho Cinco. All three players on Nike had to waive their No-Trade clause to be moved and did so. Tonight, against their former team, D-What will be the starting Center and the second scoring option, D-Nice will be the starting Small Forward and the third scoring option, and Ocho Cinco will be the first man off the bench from the Center and Power Forward positions.
For Nike, they are hoping to shut D-What and D-Nice up tonight after the constant trade requests because of losing. If Jordan wins, then Nike will be left with nothing to say but if Nike can pull the upset off. It would be a great jump start to a new team while being able to rub it in their former players faces.
When asked what he thought about the opportunity to play for Jordan, D-What said, [glow=blue,2,300]"It's great to be on a team that knows how to win. Although they have been struggling, I believe the fresher look to the team will jumpstart another run of victories. On a personal note, I am really surprised to be the second option and I can only hope that I provide them with exactly what they want. On the defensive end, I have really been stepping it up and I hope to continue too. I get to start at center which I prefer to play and I appreciate the ownerships' belief in my ability. I am really excited to be with Jordan and I hope that as a team, we can win some ball games."[/glow]
D-Nice was not as excited but really seemed to humble himself as a team player while saying this,[glow=yellow,2,300] "My role will diminish on Jordan but that does not mean a thing to me anymore. I proved I can score in this league and compete to my fullest, now I just want to win. I will do whatever it takes, even if it means becoming more defensive minded, to help my new team. They made a bold move in acquiring me and I appreciate them allowing me to continue to play next to my first cousin, best friend, and teammate for life, D-What. I really hope I can help the team as much as they expect. The change of scenery is also a plus. It was getting boring playing for Nike because of the losses every week and I did not have as much motivation. I feel completely revived and ready to help lead this team to the promise land!"[/glow]
