An awkward name is spreading around the league people don't know whether to call him Spyda or Spyder, but what is the deal with his name anyway. Back when he was in college at UT Spyder's coach Rick Barnes let him chase his dreams in the summer; so Spyder tailed the AND 1 Mixtape Tour around.
His first try got him to the final round where it was a decision to take his friend The Professor over him. On his second try he went to the final round and won the tour, but the finals were nothing compared to when you saw him in the game. Every time he landed a dunk during the tour he would hang on to the rim and curl up like a Spyder, thus they dubbed him Spyder.
During the 2005 Mixtape tour Spyder decided to talk to the AND 1 crew and they told him that he should look into their new league the PHL with that in mind Spyder worked hard leading up to the draft. Now Spyder is a household name ready to be idolized and ready to leave his mark on the PHL.
