YB: Just chillin mayne, ya know, happy to be playin in this league. I feel good mayne. Happy to be doin 2 things that I love doing.

YB: Rapping mayne

YB: Yup, I'm a rapper for The Game's The Black Wall Street
SS: Really? He's definitely a good way to come up in the rap game.
YB: Of course mayne, he discovered me due to my uncle and put me on right away.
SS: Away from the rap industry, you play a lil bball here in the PHL, tell me about your 1st few weeks in the league.
YB: It's been great mayne, leadin up to the draft I was nervous cuz I wasn't sure where I'd go or even if I'd get drafted cuz theres some good players here. I was surprised to go were I did. I was also surprised cuz I went to a team I wanted to go to. I've known the homie who runs Converse for a long time now mayne and I wanted to go to his team, which I did, so it was all good.
SS: Your stay at Converse wasn't too long, did anything happen behind the scene that made all that break down?
YB: Nah mayne, he just got a good offer for me and sent me away. There's no love lost there, he still my homie and all. I just didn't fit into his plans for the future apparently.
SS: Talking about trades, you got traded twice in 1 day, how does that feel?
YB: It sucked, I aint even gonna lie mayne. I didn't wanna leave Converse, but I didn't fit into his plans for the future apparently so he did what he had to do. He traded me over to Adidas for Bonafide, which was a great move on his part cuz he gets the #1 pick and a guy whos expected to do BIG things in this league. I didn't particually wanna play for Adidas cuz I don't like how their running things over there and to be quite honest, most of their players suck and I didn't wanna be the head guy over there. So I asked Adidas co-owner RussianDuck to look into some trade possibilities. He found a trade partner in AND1 and he traded me. I'm glad he dealt me to AND1 cuz their a good solid team. They can do a little of everything and I feel I'll fit in well over there. I won't have the burden on my shoulders of being the head guy over there and I can just come in and do what I do.
SS: You got traded to AND1 to finish up the day, how do you like AND1 so far?
YB: I love it over here at AND1. The players are cool and the owner is a really down to earth cat. They greeted me with open arms when I walked through the door come game time. Flash was cool about everything when I got there. AND1 asked Flash to switch to Shooting Guard to accomidate me and he had no problems doing that so that was cool on his part. True Essence was cool with the trade. True Essence also was cool about me coming in right away and taking over the spot of Point Guard. They all feel comfortable getting the ball from me so its all good mayne.
SS: Ok, now I'm gonna name off some awards and you tell me who'll win them in your opinion ok?
YB: Yup, get to it mayne

YB: Mayne, way its looking its gonna be down to my boy True Essence or the homie Flash, both for AND1, but it's still early so who knows

YB: POWERHOUSE is a big strong defensive cat so he may very well come out with it but my homie Show Stoppa also is a good defender so it'll be close mayne

I will count out Adidas already cuz they aint got that good of players and it'll be hard for them to get Free Agents who are out there too mayne. Ima say either AND1 or Reebok goes all the way mayne. Both are lookin really strong coming into the season.

YB: In rap I idolized people like 2pac, Biggie, the whole Cash Money family, Jadakiss, Nas and just other big guys. Basketball I idolized MJ as I'm sure everyone did. Jason Kidd was another big one. Magic Johnson, Kevin Garnett, Tmac, Kobe. Alotta good cats.
SS: Have you really talked to AND1 yet about the team?
YB: Yeah, he basically said just come in and do what I do best, to not worry about what critics say and what other people say about us. I just took that to heart and Ima do what I do.
SS: Last question and we'll let you go, what do you think you need to work on more now that your here?
YB: I need to work on my defense mayne. Were good at scoring but we can't really defend that great. We got one guy that can play defense and thats Smash. So yeah I need to upgrade on defense.
SS: Well actually my bad this is the last question, since your rapping, describe your rap debut for us, like when its coming out, whos gonna be on it, whos producing on it, etc man.
YB: Oh course mayne, I can't really let the title out yet, were deciding on 2 titles. Were working on getting distribution right now for it. It's coming out on Black Wall Street, Precise Music Group which is my label, and whatever major I sign with. I'm not going through Black Wall Street's distribution with Capitol. It's coming out mid 2007. So far artists are basically our Black Wall Street cats like Juice, The Game, Clyde Carson, Cyssero. Production is coming from Nu Jerzey Devil, Scott Storch, Kanye West, Swizz Beats, and my in-house producer for Precise Music named D1. Anything else you need to know mayne?
