An astounding trade has occured between Adidas and Converse. The terms were:
Adidas Sends:
Bonafide 10 Million, 4 Years (S, #1 SO)
Yo-Yo: 4 Million, 2 Years
[No Picture Found]
Tot: 14M
Next Year's 2nd Round Pick
Converse Sends:
Ya Boy: 9 Million, 5 Years (S, SO, +1 AS, +1 F)
Ballaholic: 6 Million, 3 Years (S, NRC, +1 AS, +1 F)
Snowflake: 8million over 2 years (4M per)
[No Picture Found]
Tot: 19M
Next Year's First Round Pick
This is a big addition for Converse considering they have a formidable front court. The addition of Bonafide allows Converse much more range because they would have a very dominant outside shooter who can give so many looks and dish the ball to the open man. Converse losses a lot by giving up star point guard Ya Boy, but they make up for that with the well balanced skills of Yo-Yo. Yo-Yo didn't have much of a game shooting the ball in his first game against Jordan, but he had 12 big rebounds which play an instrumental part in the Converse style. Overall he will be an istrumental part of the team for Converse.
This is also a big trade for Adidas they get two star players from Converse and get some more versatility on their end of the court. Ballaholic and Ya Boy are two big guys on the outside who can make bigplays when they are really needed. This trade also gives them some depth on the bench with Snowflake who was a FA signing by Converse earlier in the week. Adidas gains a lot in this trade in terms of depth and this should help them win some games.
Who really gained the most from this trade will be decided in Week 3 when Adidas faces Converse.
