Stuart Scott: Welcome back Speedy for another interview with me. It has been awhile.
Speedy: Yeah man, glad to be back. Now let's go on to the questions.
SS: Now that the draft is over with, it seems that you went 5th overall. Are you happy with that selection?
S: I felt a little suprised to tell you the truth. I thought I would fall to the second round, mostl liekly to AND1. I did not know Nike was interested in drafting me. But I'm happy with my situation there, and being the "leader" of the team.
SS: Speaking of being the leader, you played great during preseason. Having a Triple-Double in both games, also averaging 41.5 points per game. How was that possible for you?
S: I just felt comfortable playing. I got alot of rest before preseason, so that might of helped. I just got out there, played hard, hit the open man when they were open, took good shots. Luckily, almost everything was falling in for me.
SS: No doubt, your shooting about 60%. Also, Nike is playing great. Tell me about your chemistry.
S: Well RainWater and Bigfoot are really close to me man. I guess that helps us on the court. We are like a family down here man. Everything is just clicking. Hopefully we can win a championship.
SS: With that, give me some predictions for this season.
S: Sure, hit me up.
SS: Let's start off simple: MVP?
S: Your looking at him.
SS: Haha, championship?
S: Nike will be up there. But AND1 and Reebok are in the mix too. They are great teams. Also can never count out my boy Bonafide at Adidas.
SS: How about Defensive Player of the Year?
S: Either Flex or POWERHOUSE. Both big man are defensive beasts.
SS: Trash Talker / Rapper of the Year?
S: Definitely AND1, dude can flow.
SS: Slam Dunk Contest Winner?
S: Best Kept Secret or The Air Up There. They can fly.
