Building a championship team in the PHL is a little like making a cake. You need several ingredients, the right chemistry, and with a little luck, your cake will raise to championship glory, where victory satisfies everybody's sweet tooth. That might be an over-dramatized analogy. In the first PHL draft, Adidas landed 7-foot 4 inches Syracuse forward Tiger "AK47" Woods with the twenty fourth pick in the first round of the 2006 PHL Draft at Madison Square Garden. In the process, Adidas also had the number one overall pick where they managed to grab the best PG, grabbing 6-foot-4 polished Point Guard "Bonafide" with the 1st pick. Bonafide was also considered the best player at the start of the evening. However, thats about it for the players they got. Only drafting 4 players in the draft (forfieting 2) they only were able to sign 2. What does this mean for the future of Adidas? Well, they better start signing some players soon as they can not win 2 against 5. Adidas had a great draft night on paper and one that could end up proving to get them in the playoffs in reality. Making it to the post-season will be the first step for Adidas. If Adidas plays their cards right, they could add second round pick SF Mini Me and third round pick C DC. If the GM makes the right moves this team could end up being a contender.
