Ak47 is not the only PHL player to get a shoe deal with a shoe company. Smash Freeman reportedly signed a 8.2 million dollar,2.3 year contract with AND1 to release his new shoe titled "Smashes"
But it isnt just any shoe it records the impact of the blow when your lowering from your jumpshot and improves the level of cushioning to soften the blow and prevent injury.Also it will have a pump to increase the pressure in the front of the shoe to help jumping ability.
The contract includes: +1.3 Mil increase for DPOY/1.3 Mil increase starting 80 games/ + 3.5 mill increase if he stays with team AND1 for more than 3.2 years.
AND1 hopes that Freeman's location and HS fans will influence the sale of his shoes. Pre-orders of the shoe has equaled more than 3.2 million due to the technalogical advances the shoe offers.
Smash has stored over $200,000 in college funding for his child Smash Jr it was the first thing he bought with his new deal.Freeman tested out the shoe yesterday.We recorded him saying " I like it, it helps me jump even with my leg injury I love it, I absolutely love it. It has a curve on the back of it to help with your lean back shot its $250 but your getting more of a trainer than a shoe."
