One of the best combo-guards to ever come from Pittsburgh P.A., DJ REMIXXX Bowden is an EXPLOSIVE scorer with unlimited range on his jump shot. Primarily a Point guard, he has the ability to run a team as a shooting guard when necessary. Physically gifted with quickness and ball handling skills, Remixxx’s basketball instincts are truly amazing allowing him to dazzle fans with his creativity and mesmerizing his opponents with his East Coast style crossover. Not only can Dj flat at beat you with his basic triple-threat, first step fundamental basketball, Dj can hit you so hard with his crossover, the ankles of his opponents might be crakin. Remixxx was currently featured in an ESPN The Magazine article this past month about “Hooping it up, P.A. style.”
In College, the Pittsburgh Legend was among the league leaders in many statistical categories playing in the USBL for the St. Joseph Express. RemiXXX was 2nd in the league in scoring with 25 points per game, 2nd in the league in 3-point percentage (45%), 4th in the league in assists with 5 per game, 2nd in the league in free-throw percentage (88%), and 8th in the league in steals with 3 per game. Tremendous statistics for Remixxx who is playing in the league to acquire recent game-tape footage, gain exposure, and to allow scouts from the NBA, NBDL, CBA, and overseas a chance to see a great player perform at a high level.
This past June 11th, 2002 RemiXXX had 35 points, 11 assists, 5 rebounds, and 5 steals against the Kansas Cagerz in the USBL. Overall, an outstanding guard with great abilities to shoot from the outside, take his man one on one off the dribble (unbelievable east coast dribbling crossover), a great passer, and a proven scorer and leader playing in the IBA, USBL, and for the SBA’s P.A. Legends. DJ shared the backcourt with The Wizz at Sto-Rox High School, in Pittsburgh P.a. and went on to play college basketball with Division I West Virginia University of the Big-East.
