AK 47, the best known golfer in the world,was a leading scorer in at Syracuse University, and led the Orange to a great run in the March Madness Tournament. He is, by far, and will be for a time to come, the best basketball player in the history of Syracuse. AK 47 was born in Russia, and raised in Moscow. He accepted a basketball scholarship from the University of Syracuse and as a freshman scored the winning basket in the 2003 NCAA championship game against the Jayhawks of Kansas. Tiger was selected college player of the year for the 2004-2005 season, and in 2005 he led the Russian basketball team to a gold medal at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
Tiger left college in 2006 to enter the PHL Draft. He hopes to finishhis first season as one of the top scorers in the league. He aspires to be named rookie of the year and to make the first of his many All-Star game appearances.
Stating that he had lost his desire to play professional golf, AK 47 announced his retirement prior to the 2004 start to the PGA Tour. Initially noted for his major tournament victories, his tenacious drving had made him one of the greatest all-around golfers in PGA history. He had also become a worldwide celebrity due to his success in college basketball and golf, and his numerous commercial endorsements.
And, you never know if Tiger will retire from the PHL and rejoin the PGA Tour to break many more of the golf records.
