1.Bonafide (PG) – Adidas
He was a solid pick for Adidas there was no doubt that he would be the first pick in the draft. Bonafide has great skills inside to get open and put up some shots, but he really shines when it comes to the perimeter game where he will rain three’s on many defenders. He also has great handles and can put some great passes along with the ability to shake and break some ankles.
2.Show Stoppa (C) – Reebok
If you are looking for inside game this guy is the man he can get you rebounds blocks and can even put a couple of points on the board. This was a smart move by Reebok to get some post game especially wit the possibility that he might have been gone later in the draft. A clear pick for any team if they did not have the choice of Bonafide.
3. POWERHOUSE (C) – Converse
A big center could be the core of any team; luckily, Converse picked him up third instead of letting him slide. With the ability to get up even with as big a body he is he was a very good pick. He is also a very athletic player with a lot of power he definitely is not afraid to throw his body around. He and Show Stoppa are definitely going to have a big rivalry to see who the best center is.
4. Littlefoot (PG) – Jordan
If you want to put points on the board this is the person you want to give the ball to. He can shoot inside, shoot outside, pass, but defense is not his style though he can put up the points you need at clutch time he can let defenders get by. He is definitely a great pick, but he really needs to pick up the slack on defense if he wants to become a power player for team Jordan.
5. Speedy (SF) – Nike
With his speed, ability to jump and some great hands I would not be surprised if this person does not get up there for rebound leaders. He defiantly has some skills getting the boards, but if you have to match him up on defense it will be difficult to block, he can tear past the defender and take it to the hole better than most centers could.
6. Flash (PG) - AND1
All you can say is offensive powerhouse this boy will rain shots from all over the court. If I was the opposing team, I would be careful with this point guard he can shoot or set up a play to get it to the open man. He is comparable to Steve Nash in the NBA he will put up points for the team. He plays for the name on the front not the one on the back.
“Steal of the Draft”: Chocolate Chip
This is definitely an easy choice, with many teams looking for great three point shooters and quick players Converse stole a giant of a force for the paint. Chocolate Chip is a huge man who can crash the boards, get some points, and hold his own in the paint against many players. A big defensive player like this slipped to 22nd in the draft. Converse definitely gets the steal this draft.
"Surprise Pick": Tops
Nike made an interesting choice by going to Tops for their 29th pick in the draft. I do not know if it was the need for a PF or what but it was definitely a big surprise considering the number of much more capable PF lounging around waiting to get picked up.
"Bust Pick": Tops
Nike seems to have the bust pick in this draft. Taking Tops as the 29th pick overall could not have been the best move. Especially since there were so many other PF lounging around waiting to get picked up.
