Mike Jones was born February 22, 1988 in Roosevelt, New York. As a young boy he grew up wearing nike sneakers, and Jordan sneakers and instantly became a fan of both shoes. Little did he know he’d become an enemy to both of those franchises.
In High School Jones was among the best players on the court, it was at this time he earned the nick name “The Assassin”. Jones was awarded a scholarship to the University of Syracuse in 2004. While there he averaged 26 points and 20 boards for a career, and became one of only six players ever to accomplish this feat. Despite his stellar numbers Jones didn’t get much national attention, this could be because he failed to lead Syracuse to the national title game even once.
Mike Jones left the Orange in 2006 and began playing basketball professionally. Jones was recently drafted by Reebok of the PHL, the Pure Hoops League.
"The Assassin" hopes to quickly make his impact in the PHL felt. He aspires to average over 27 points a game, became an all-star, and win in MVP voting . Jones wants to lead Reebok to the PHL Finals.
Mike Jones hopes to play for Reebok throughout his career. Hoping to become the face of the franchise, he hopes to make his trademark "grill" well-known to all of the PHL players and fans.
